Nominator's project description
| Professor Qi is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in developing synchrotron-radiation-based mass spectrometry for measuring chemical species in reactive flows to advance combustion and energy research. He has also promoted the application of highly sophisticated laser diagnostics in reactive flows for improving the understanding of flame dynamics and instabilities. In Germany, he will focus on the role of resonantly stabilized radicals in the conversion of renewable carbon-neutral fuels. |
